CSOS Informational Guide

What is CSOS and How Does It Work?

CSOS stands for Controlled Substance Ordering System. It is the government approved means to electronically order schedule II products. Our CSOS system is integrated within MCQNET. This means you can build your C2 order in MCQNET using all the features available with regular orders. When a controlled order is submitted you are then required to digitally sign the order with a digital certificate and password. The product will be delivered on the same time frame as a regular MCQNET order. The document below outlines the process of ordering and checking-in C2 items through MCQNET. (Note: you must first complete the steps below to order through CSOS)

Feel free to call for assistance and we can step you through this relatively painless process.

STEP 4: Record Keeping

When you start ordering through CSOS, the DEA requires you to start keeping digital records of your orders. You may keep hard copies of your orders for your own bookkeeping, but the DEA requires that 'digital records' be kept. Storing and backing up these records is discussed further in the document below.
